As a strategic communications professional who has worked in multilateral development organisations for many years, I have seen numerous publications produced for developing country policymakers. However, I often found many of them to be far too academic, too long and too laced with unnecessary technical jargon to be of much use to those for whom they were ultimately written. This is what inspired me to establish Editor's Quill.
My goal is to provide multilateral development banks and other such organisations with the editing services that they need to simplify, shorten and render their publications more useful and reader-friendly to all audiences. Services include the following:

ABOUT ME
I am a strategic communications specialist who has worked in international development for over 30 years. I set up Editor's Quill, as part of Richard Uku Consulting, to indulge two of my biggest passions: writing and what I consider to be my compulsive editing. This was inspired partly after working in the international development community for so long and seeing innumerable documents meant for public consumption written in unnecessarily heavy jargon. One of the services that I provide through Editor's Quill is turning such material into simple, reader-friendly language for either sector specialists or general audiences.
My expertise includes writing, editing, designing and executing strategic communications programs to raise public awareness of development-related issues, and to garner behaviour change.
